THEME INTRODUCTION

Driven by accelerating connectivity, new talent models, and cognitive tools, work is changing. As robotics, AI, the gig economy and crowds grows; jobs are being reinvented. We must reconsider how jobs are designed and work to adapt and learn for future growth. What the future of work will mean for Learning, skills, and Jobs :

1. Future of Learning
The half-life of skills is rapidly falling, placing huge demands on learning in the digital age. Traditional learning management systems are being complemented with and replaced by a wide range of new technologies for content curation, delivery, video distribution, and mobile use. As companies build the organization of the future, continuous learning is critical for business success.

2. Future of Skills
AI, robotics, and automation have gained a rapidly expanding foothold in the workplace. As  these advanced technologies permeate the workplace, skills such as critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving gain in importance. Leading companies are recognizing that these technologies are most effective when they complement humans, not replace them.

3. Future of Jobs
Technology, globalization, demographics, social values, and the changing personal expectations of workforce participants, in particular Millennials, have had an effusive impact on the talent landscape, disrupting business models and radically changing who, where, when, and how work is done. Many organizations are turning toward the growing alternative workforce segment and seeking to hire more workers off their balance sheets as part of a workforce ecosystem, resultantly strengthening the outlook of the gig economy.
