A lot of recent talks, articles and publications have been focusing on workforce analytics but in reality there is a considerable population of HR folks who do not yet know what it means. Not knowing about it is one side of the spectrum. There is another considerable set who knows what it is but do not know how and why to use it. And there is also a small (but growing) number of HR professionals, who know everything about it and are even using it to make intelligent talent decisions in their organizations.
Our participant mix of the Master Class on HR Analytics & Metrics, held on 21-22 April 2015 in Delhi had representation from all these 3 sets of professionals. 16 Participants (from American Express, Bharti Airtel, Boston Scientific, E&Y, FIS, ICICI Bank, Innodata, Lenovo, Pearson, PepperTap, PNB Metlife, Royal Enfield, TM International and Saija Finance) experienced the marvels of using HR analytics through peer to peer and experiential learning.
The classroom discussions with the industry leaders on the practical challenges of implementing workforce analytics helped these young professionals gain valuable insights into the application side of things. As one participant said, “We had read these concepts in MBA but never used them in corporate. I now understand how these are used.”
